Sameera Reddy was born on 17th December 1982 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. She has two sisters Sushma Reddy and Meghna Reddy who were a big part of the glamour industry working as models and video jockeys.
Reddy studied at the Sydenham College and is involved with Crayons and Dreamz Homes. While in college, she appeared in the music video for Pankaj Udhas’ Ahista. However she opted to work as a marketing executive before she moved into movies.

2002 to 2005 Sameera Reddy’s debut movie was Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) with Sohail Khan, followed by Darna Mana Hai (2003). In 2004, she worked with Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor in Sanjay Gupta’s Musafir as a dancer. The year 2005 saw her in two Telugu movies Jai Chiranjeeva and Narasimhudu.
2006 to 2009 Her movie Taxi Number 9211 (2006), with John Abraham and Nana Patekar did well at the box office. She had a cameo in No Entry (2007) and Fool and Final (2007) was below average.
Her biggest movie was Race (2008) as Mini, Anil Kapoor’s vapid assistant. She was seen in a Bengali movie Kalpurush (2008), directed by Buddhadev Dasgupta. She was cast opposite Rahul Bose as his wife. Her Tamil movie Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) was a big hit.
In 2009, she will be seen in Saran’s Asal and Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan.
