The showhas been produced by UTV Software Communications and has become India'slargest dance-based reality show. The show is to be choreographed bysome of the most popular Indian choreographers, such as Terence Lewis,Remo D'Souza and Geeta Kapur the Bollywood actor, Mithun Chakraborty isthe grand master of the show. The show airs every Friday and Saturday.The winner of the 1st season was Salman Khan, from Bangalore.

The showhas raw talent of age group 15 to 25 from all over India. Once chosen,the contestants are trained by professional choreographers Bollywood.Thereafter the participants' compete against each other. Some of thedance forms that are taught to the contestants are Ballet, Acrobatics,Shadow Dancing, Mid-air dancing, Broadway Theater, Contemporary,Bollywood and Hip-Hop. The judges do a fine job of judging and tutoringtheir students. The Grand Finale of the first season was on Saturday,May 30, 2009.
